The HS 4000 CNC plasma profile cutting machine is of all aluminium construction, this offers high strength with low mass for the best possible performance. The machine has rack and pinion drives to all axis, including the synchronised longitudinal drive.

The controller has an advanced contouring motion control (RCS++) giving Real Time Control, this combined with the 500 watt digital brushless servo drives and precision gearboxes ensures tighter tolerances with optimum cut quality over the full cutting and traversing speed range.

The HS 4000 uses machined track, with rack to both rails, mounted on either mid level pedestals or a customer supplied beam.

The chassis is fabricated from precision extruded aluminium and water jet cut parts for the main and outboard carriages. The main beam comprises a Precision Extruded Aluminium Beam with a 'V' bar guide rail onto which the cutter carriages are mounted Hose and cable supplies across the machine are by drag chain conveyor.
